SHE REFLECTED

I feel injustice keenly, instinctively, and write stuff down when it needs releasing. Not everyone will resonate, and that's okay, it is my reality, not theirs. This is just a different perspective through a different life experience.

This page on the website is for these pieces - they're things I needed to address, initially to myself written on scraps of paper that I kept. I never thought that I would share, but this is me being authentic. I'm not just one thing. I am a multitude of feels and experiences. I'm not holding back through fear of judgement anymore. I'm me unapologetically.

Before secondary school
she was balanced with no social care
but observing the classroom
the teachers, the pupils, nothing made sense
lessons, topics delivered in a certain way divide
she saw it plain as mind's eye
like writing novel plots by strategic minds
delivered with brute force in mind
stirring kids unkind

the whole world a stage for humankind
her mind mature saw the system was broken
in a box, a pen, low-income people kept broken
no aspiring
no rekindling of intelligence
pure negligence
deliberate, no funding, no real education
a curriculum that didn't serve advancement

She refused to play
not attend for days
her mother threatened with prison
I, the daughter made it my mission to defend
my voice loud for the system crowd
no no no - this is wrong
say it loud - this is wrong
no no no I will not bend to your will

confused by me I was set free
a child a free thinker
a teen not systematically normal, unconditioned, seen
now an adult who questions behind the scenes
not a conspiracist but a realist with an idealist dream

this system my mind refuses to compute
like a trojan entering the back door
a different way of being is what I'm meaning
if it's wrong, its wrong, simple
if it's broken, its broken, simple
words and purposeful terminology won't phase me
I see it for what it is - fluff used to stuff the cracks of falsehood
while hearts everywhere are bleeding
souls destroyed

It's a game - don't stress
remain mentally dressed, blessed
no one has soul power over you
don't hand it over, stay empowered
you are more than the system
you are more than rules and power
you are human
you are soul
you are your own kingdom

yet she was the one SCD diagnosed
it didn't sit right
she with kind heart, gentle natured, self-assured
she, the problem within the system
